Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course

American Heart Association PALS Provider Course The AHA’s PALS Provider Course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by preparing healthcare providers to effectively recognize and intervene in patients with respiratory emergencies, shock, and cardiopulmonary arrest by using high-performance team dynamics and high-quality individual skills. The course includes a series of case scenario practices with simulations that reinforce important concepts. PALS Manual will be provided to student before class. An American Heart Association PALS card will be provided to the student upon successful completion of the course. Card will be issued same day and is valid for 2 years. 8am - 5pm Lesson CPR Coach and High-Performance Teams Child/Infant BLS Initial Assessment Primary Assessment Secondary Assessment Airway Management & Respiratory Disorders Vascular Access & Shock Rhythm Disturbance & Arrhythmias Case Scenario Testing & Written Exam Substitutes/Refunds/Transfers - Cancellations must be in writing (fax, email, or mail) - Registrants cancelling between two weeks and two full business days prior to the first day of the event are refunded at 70% of the registration fee subject to a minimum $25 cancellation fee. - Cancellations greater than 2 weeks prior to the event will receive 100% refund. - No vouchers will be issued in lieu of a refund. - Transfers/substitute(s) welcome at discretion of Program Director. - Attendance at this activity grants permission for Southern Regional AHEC to use any photographs, audio, video, or other images from this activity for promotional or educational purposes.
