Who Should Take This Course? The AHA PALS course is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies and cardiopulmonary arrest in pediatric patients. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive and critical care units, and others who require PALS certification for job requirements. You are required to have the current textbook for this course. If you already own one or have access to one before, during, and after the class, you do not need to purchase one here.
